We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Project Manager to support large, complex client engagements across structured cabling, construction, phone systems, rollouts, moves, and consolidations.
This is a telecom infrastructure-focused role and is best suited for professionals with hands-on experience managing physical network builds, low-voltage systems, and field operations - not software development or IT application delivery.
Duties
As a Project Manager, you'll own end-to-end delivery of telecom and cabling projects across single and multi-site environments:
- Manage a wide range of telecommunications infrastructure projects, including structured cabling installs, low-voltage construction, site rollouts, moves/adds/changes (MACs), and repair work
- Build and execute detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports
- Act as the primary client point of contact, providing proactive communication on progress, scope changes, risks, and issue resolution
- Coordinate internal teams, field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
- Manage material procurement, equipment rentals, and warehouse logistics
- Oversee field technician dispatch, check-in/check-out, and real-time support for scope clarification
- Maintain accurate documentation across dispatches, work orders, materials, rentals, and expenses within internal systems
- Track and manage deliverables through project and document management tools
- Ensure timely and accurate project closeout and invoicing readiness
- Provide guidance and support to Junior Project Managers
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple concurrent, unrelated telecom workstreams
Requirements
- 3+ years of Project Management experience in telecommunications infrastructure (required)
- Proven experience managing:
- Structured cabling (copper/fiber)
- Low-voltage systems
- Telecom construction or site buildouts
- Voice / data / phone system deployments (VoIP or legacy)
- Strong understanding of coordinating field technicians and physical network deployments across multiple sites
- Experience with rollouts, site surveys, and multi-location deployments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally
- Strong customer service mindset with proven client relationship management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- High energy, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
Additional Info
- Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
- Location: In office for training and then a rotating schedule: 1 week in office / 1 week from home)
- Type: Contract through end of year (potential for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs)
- Pay: $31-$39/hr depending on experience ($64K-$81K annually)
